The Defence Services Officers' Institute (DSOI Club) provide Social and recreational facilities to the officers' of the Defence Services, both serving and retired, and their families who wish to be members and to provide combined officers' mess facilities to them.

Foundation Stone Jointly laid on 13th August 2004 by General N C Vij, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, ADC, Chief of the Army Staff Admiral Arun Prakash, PVSM, AVSM, Vr C, VSM, ADC, Chief of the Naval Staff Air Chief Marshal S Krishnaswamy, PVSM, AVSM, VM, ADC, Chief of the Air Staff inaugurated on 09th September 2007.

BRIEF BACKGROUND DETAILS OF DSOI, PV, GGN

  1. The Defence Services Officers' Institute (DSOI Club) provide Social and recreational facilities to the officers' of the Defence Services, both serving and retired, and their families who wish to be members and to provide combined officers' mess facilities to them. Foundation Stone Jointly was laid by General N C Vij, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, ADC, Chief of the Army Staff Admiral Arun Prakash, PVSM, AVSM, Vr C, VSM, ADC, Chief of the Naval Staff Air Chief Marshal S Krishnaswamy, PVSM, AVSM, VM, ADC, Chief of the Air Staff on 13th August 2004 It was Inaugurated By General JJ Singh, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC Chief of the Army Staff Admiral Sureesh Mehta, PVSM, AVSM, ADC Chief of the Naval Staff Air Chief Marshal FH Major, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VM, ADC Chief of the Air Staff on 09th September 2007.
  2. Defence Services embarked on a ‘Path Breaking’ journey to est a Tri - Service Institute at Gurgaon. This had been a long standing demand of serving and retd offrs residing in that area. Plan for est the institute, ‘PROJECT GALAXY’ was conceived in 2002 – 03. Iden of suitable land proved challenging. Efforts were made to obtain land from Govt of Haryana. Prime land(1.18 acres) was obtained from Ansals on 99 yrs lease @ Rs 5000.00 per yr. Proj was approved by COSC on 11 Nov 03. Foundation Stone was laid jointly by Service Chiefs on 13 Aug 04. Constr commenced in mid 2005. In mid 2006, entire design was reconfigured to ensure better utilisation of space. Modern bldg norms were incorporated.

    Long term functional and financial viability.

    Provides social and recreational space and facilities to offrs of Def Services.

    Provides Combined Offrs Mess Facilities.

    DSOI is a Proprietary Institute of Def Services Offrs Welfare

    Fund (DSOWF).
